Но встречается - в районе Скалистых Гор и на юге, чаше всего. Это - печеные свиные или бычьи яйца. Есть еще выражение "world is your oyster", где слово "устрица" (oyster) тоже используется иносказательно. Фраза означает - мир раскрыт для тебя (как ракушка).
